May 2 to consider a number of administrative staff proposals, including
new enrollment and program fees and an education and general budget
summary for fiscal 2008-09.

Jefferson honors librarian The Jefferson C-123 School celebrated National Library Week by
hosting a surprise reception in honor of Patricia Schmitz, who is the
current library media specialist at Jefferson and has been an educator
for 31 years. She will retire at the end of this school year.

wherever and whenever it is appropriate. Yet, I wonder, which one of my
newspaper-owner counterparts does weekly in his ramblings, what our
country would be if it were run like a business, or at least operated

Maryville bats come alive in 8-6 loss to Pirates By Scott Erickson
The Maryville Spoofhounds baseball team hosted the Platte County
Pirates on Senior Night, May 6. While the game resulted in a loss for
the Spoofhounds, they gave the Pirates all they could handle.
